Second-hand &
Vintage Clothing.
Welcome to Begin Again Threads! My name is Tara, and I’m a local second-hand/vintage clothing curator based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
I started Begin Again Threads with a simple mission: to give great clothes a second life and help people build a wardrobe they truly love, without the waste or the high price tag.
At Begin Again Threads, accessibility isn’t just a buzzword. It’s at the heart of everything I do. I believe that well-made clothing should be available to more people, not just those who can afford brand-new designer tags. That’s why I focus on sourcing timeless, high-quality pieces that are built to last, rather than chasing short-lived trends.
Whether you’re hunting for that perfect vintage gem or just looking to shop more consciously, I’m glad you’re here. Let’s redefine what second-hand can look and feel like, one piece at a time.
Timeless finds with a modern edge.
WHO THE HECK IS TARA AND WHERE DID SHE COME FROM...
If we’re starting from the beginning, I was born and mostly raised in Bakersfield, California. I started gymnastics at age five and dedicated much of my childhood to the sport until I was 13, when my path took a sharp turn—I moved to Park City, Utah, to pursue aerial ski jumping. For two years, I balanced online school with a demanding travel and training schedule. Eventually, I decided to step away from aerials and return to Bakersfield to experience a few “normal” years of high school before adulthood came calling.
Naturally, I found my way back to Utah, and it’s pretty much been home ever since.
Both of my parents are entrepreneurs, so I’ve grown up around the idea of building something of your own. It’s no surprise to those who know me that I’ve been drawn to running a vintage clothing business. Style and fashion have always been forms of self-expression for me, but vintage and second-hand clothing hold a deeper meaning. I love how many corners and stories live in the world of vintage and the accessibility second-hand clothing provides.
As a young adult, I’ve been able to build a closet full of unique, high-quality pieces I never could’ve afforded brand new, and that’s the experience I want to share with others. Curating collections that make great style both personal and attainable.
